Introduction - Tatler Media pack

2) Now go to page 4 of the Media Pack. Focus on the print magazine . List the key demographic details: age, gender %, ABC1 % (social class), HHI (Household Income), % of those living in London and the South East. What do these demographic details suggest about the average Tatler reader?

4) Go to page 10. What are the special editions of Tatler that run throughout the year? What does this suggest about the pyschographic groups who read Tatler?

 Shows they aim at wealthy people who own companies and is a business person who is very successful

Media language

1) What different examples of typography can you find on the cover of Tatler? What are the connotations of the serif and sans serif fonts? 
On the magazines, they used serif on the title. This suggests the magazines are aimed at rich people. The sans serif represents the tradition and old fashion. Also, makes the main flash stand out to the reader. 

2) How do the cover lines appeal to the Tatler target audience?
It illustrates royalty and independence also implies the gossip 


3) What are the connotations of the Tatler colour scheme on this particular front cover?
The colour scheme demonstrates the power and status of the magazine. In addition, Mise - en - scéne links to the model as she tries to fit in with the genre, for example nature.

stereotypes are being reinforced by luxury. This also implies that the race and ethnicity is white and they are rich and free.

 The preferred reading is that it is aimed at the rich people. The oppositional reading is that it demonstrates that majority of the rich people are white as the front cover have a white person.

Social and cultural context

aimed at high class and shows royalty
