1) How many of the 12 magazine cover key conventions feature on this edition of Reveal? 
- Main flash ( '' Katie plots secret meetings with Pete )
- Headline (''Reveal'')
- Exclusive ( can't get it in any other magazine )
- Sans Serif ( Majority of the cover lines are in sans serif fonts)

- Colour scheme ( usage of very bright colours )
- Price ( the price is more appealing then the headline. This implies that the reveal magazine is way cheaper then the Tatler)

  2) What is the font choice used on the cover and what does this choice connote? 
The font used on this magazine is sans serif - majority. they use low vocabulary, also known as low brow and also implies it is aimed a less educated and lower class people. however in the bottom part of the magazine they used handwritten fonts for the celebrities names. this also demonstrates the informal and slang language. 

3) How do the cover lines appeal to the Reveal target audience?
They are all differnet and uses informal language as it is for less educated people

4) What are the connotations of the Reveal colour scheme on this particular front cover?
The pink suggests it is aimed at females , so feminine. the yellow is mostly appealing on the price tag to address the cheap price compared to the price of tatler magazine 

5) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. mise-en-scene such as props, costume and make-up, body position, facial expression).
Some of the images are photoshopped or they are studio photographs but others are from paparazzi. the ' kelly brook '  image eating a cake makes the reader feel better emotionally.

4) What would be the preferred and oppositional readings to this cover of Reveal?

The preferred reading is that reveal is a reader's best friend. The oppositional reading is criticism as it talks about mother hood, diets and beauty and exaggerate about the exclusives and how you can give up your diet. Also, reveal presents the celebrities badly and negatively as they mainly focus on relationship breakdowns.

It is a low brow. This suggests that the cover lines that the magazine wants to be the readers best friend. Instead of showing expensive products it implies the product they show on the magazine is a lot cheaper. It also makes the reader feel better as the celebrity ' Kelly Brook ' doesn't go along their diet to look beautiful and thin.
