Coursework : Film pitch

 1) What will be the title for your own original NEW horror film? 
Prophecy

2) Write a tagline for your film.
no second chances...in the dark side...

3) Write a logline – this is like a longer version of the tagline. It's one sentence that sums up the film and hooks the audience in under 25 words: 
Andrea reads a book at her friends new house. Then realises that everything comes to life.

4) Write down any existing horror films that are similar to yours ("My film idea is like a cross between Scream and Contagion"):

5) What is your narrative/storyline? Write a short paragraph that explains what happens in your film:
Andrea is coming over from America to meet her childhood friend aryan. Aryan has just purchased a new house - palace like. On Andrea’s journey, 2 tragic and horrifying events have happened ( ideas: someone dies in an accident in front of her. Or she visions a girl who she know was dead’s 5 years ago.) when arriving at the house, she found the basement and starts to explore it. She notices a book and opens. She doesn’t know this, but when opening the book that has unleashed the ghost who was trapped inside of it. So each page number corresponds to the demon’s name for example, p-16,r-18.... Each page has a poem describing everything happening soon when Andrea has realised these events has happened in her life she was shocked. So one night they end up in a forest, where the queen of hell (prosperine) and shapeshifted into a human. In the forest, there is a ghost apocalypse. They escape and the ghost keeps aryan hostage, the queen’s wishes is to give her her soul. The only way to get rid of all of the ghost is to say the queen’s name for it to burn as the book is indistructable physically.

6) What is your main character’s name and what happens to them?
Main character - Andrea Wood - gets rid of all the ghosts
Friend - Aryan George - helps Andrea and is held hostage.
Demon’s name - Prosperine (queen of hell)

7) Who or what will be the villain or threat in your horror movie?  
Ghost - supernatural

8) What is the name of your film's director?
Rakshana sivasenthilnathan

9) What costume/make-up/props will you need for your photographs for your website?
Demon - fake blood and black wedding dress?
Main character - modern clothing 
Friend - modern clothing

10) What font/typography/colour you will use to create a brand for your film’s title and branding?  
Sanserif but hints of serif. It is in old font.

  ‘Differently newspapers address their audiences differently.’ How far is this true of The times and the daily mirror (close study products)? In my opinion, I strongly agree with this statements to large extent. Many newspapers, use the typography of serif to express the seriousness of their business and proposal of their contents on the front page, formal and definitely traditional. On the other hand, The Daily Mirror consists of sans serif to emphasise the informal and modern culture and perhaps give an interpretation of celebrity gossip. For example, The Times mainly focuses on the category of politics as their front page content. Preventing them to be like the Daily Mirror, they have much of a more appealing view of their front page as it has a high capacity of coverage consisting of text heavy longer articles.
